Psychosocial Support
We provide informed, trauma-focused counseling for survivors of violence and displacement. Both one-on-one and group sessions for children and adults to help them heal and rebuild their sense of safety.
Child-Friendly Spaces
We offers one-on-one counseling, group therapy and recreational activities to help children heal and build confidence. We focus on their emotional and psychological well-being, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to grow.
Empowerment & Livelihood
We support women by providing livelihood training and creating awareness about their rights. We help them access economic opportunities, take part in community decisions, and have a voice in society
Peacebuilding & Reconciliation
We brings people together to talk, forgive and rebuild trust. We help communities understand that the war in Sudan is not caused by families, women, or children it is the result of government conflict. Communities are victims, not enemies, and there is no reason to hate one another
We are Trauma Rescue Aid
A refugee-led grassroots nonprofit organization, working with war displaced communities and victims/survivors of violence across Sudan, refugee camps and IDP camps.
We also create child-friendly spaces for displaced children, offering drawing, learning, and storytelling activities that help them heal, learn, and rediscover joy.

Testimonials

“Since I came to Uganda 5 months ago, it is only TRAID that has been able to provide me with food packages. I registered as a refugee but have never received any food or nonfood items from UNHCR. God bless you TRAID and continue to help.”
Rejoice Farida Alamin.

“All I want to say is thank you Trauma Rescue Team for not giving up on us. The food we used to receive from the UN is no more, but TRAID, you are doing your best despite the challenges. Every time you call us for food support, our hope is restored. We pray God opens more doors for you.”
Sarah Sharab Lima (Sudan refugee).

“For many months, NRC used to bring sanitary pads to the young women in the refugee community, distributing them every month. But they have stopped for the past seven months. Every day, families call me asking if TRAID can help provide pads. Mothers are struggling to manage their daughters’ needs, and some teenage girls are even forced to use pieces of cloth during their periods. The situation is very difficult, and the need for menstrual hygiene support is urgent.”
